Dreams that cheat time (Old post from the Blog)

The ability to predict future events has been claimed by individuals since the dawn of time. How can this be? If time is linear how can somebody know about an event that is yet to happen? However there seems to be strong evidence that the future is already out there and that under certain circumstances it can reveal itself. Have you had precognitive experiences? Do you have evidence of this. Would you like to prove precognition by placing a prediction on this Forum? CTF/ITLAD has an explanation for "future memory". Do you agree with it?

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but it's about revisiting a dream.

My daughter had a dream a few years ago were she found herself walking through the woods passing a water fall on her way. She came across a house a bit further on and felt as though she should enter (which she did). She described the house as having a nice welcoming feel to it. However for some reason she felt compelled to write her name on two of the walls.
Nothing strange about that really but what is strange is that about two years later she found herself having the same dream. Again she walked through the woods passing the same waterfall, she said she instinctively knew that she was going to see the house again, and there it was! yet this time she felt very uneasy. As she walked in through the door she sensed that something evil had taken place since her last visit, yet remembering that she had written her name on the walls she wanted to see if it was still there. She walked over to the wall and there was her name just as she had written it! however, what she found was hundreds of other names and symbols covering the whole wall! By this point she was really freaked out, feeling as though she was being watched she ran out of the house and back through the woods again convinced that she was being chased!

She has not had the same dream since but I have told her that if she does then she should try and take note of the other names and symbols that was written on the walls.

That does sound quite chilling, thanks for sharing that. Although it seems like a fairly straight forward dream, you really have done a good job of creating the atmosphere that obviously worried your daughter. I think the moment we try to explain the way dreams make us feel with actual words and expressions they loose their power sometimes.

Either way, thanks for sharing that and I hope your daughter finds some clarity with the dream.
